LARGE CROWD GATHERS AT ANNUAL NOBBS FAMILIES BULL SALE
The Nobbs Families Moura Bull Sale has wrapped up today, with 68 of 71 bulls offered selling for a clearance of 96 per cent clearance, with a gross of $394,000 and an average of $5628. Top priced bull was Chas and Judy Nobbs’ Cordelia Iceman, selling to Ron, Jenny and Ben Byriel, Dandarbong Pastoral, Bauhinia, for $13,000. The Byriel family purchased a total of five lots, for an average of $8400, consisting of red Brahman and Charbray bulls. The volume buyers of the sale were Tom and Liz McIntyre, Mt View, Theodore, who purchased a total of eleven grey Brahman bulls for an average of $4727, and a gross of $52,000. On offer at the sale were red and grey Brahman bulls, Charbray bulls, and Brangus bulls. The second-top priced bull was Chas and Judy Nobbs’ Charbray bull Cordelia Icon, selling to Roger Nobbs for $12,000. The total sale gross was $394000 with an average of $5628.57 and a 99% Clearance on the 71 bulls offered. Of The 51 Brahman Bulls offered they averaged $5441.18 with a top of $8500 and the 6 Brangus bulls offered averaged $5333.33 with a top of $7000. Charbray bulls topped $13000 with an average of $6500 with 13 on offer.
